Interior view of the Royal Standard Theatre, Shoreditch High Street, London, c1840. More usually known as the Standard Theatre, the building had a long and successful existence, being rebuilt in 1867 and again in 1897. In 1926 it became the Olympia cinema, and was demolished for rebuilding in 1939.
