111-SC-3900 MER : A photograph taken in 1918 by a photographer from the Chemical Warfare Service. The image shows a glatte gas mine with various components. The mine consists of an iron container, galvanized in appearance, filled with 115 grams of TNT. The container is sealed with a paraffin wax plug and wooden blocks. Another substance identified is a magnesium chloride cement. The maximum capacity of the mine is 600 liters and it has two white bands, with the possibility of a third white band in the mix.
