TWO VIEWS OF BLOCK HOLDING THREE BEARING BRASSES WHICHARE BORED SIMULTANEOUSLY directly beneath the center line of the lathe. Thebrasses are held by a block which rests on these screws,which in turn are raised and lowered to adjust fordifferent sizes of brasses. When the proper adjust-ment has been attained the block is bolted to the heavycastings as shown. The brasses themselves are held inthe block by screws pointing slightly downward. Withthis device twenty-five 4%-in. brasses are bored in anhour.
