This measurement, however, applies only to the eastern limb,the western member being insignificant as compared with the other. The various cross-sections supplied by the management illustrate thenature of the corrugations which have been imposed upon the primary oraecondauy folds in the slate and sandstone comprising the country, neverthe-less such sections take but little cognisance of the smaller puckerings whichhave affected the corrugations in turn.
