It stood at theE. end of the Forum,on the slope of the Velia, raised on a high stylo-bate above the Via Sacra, and was the largest,and among the most magnificent, at Eome. Ithad two cellae, one for Venus, the other forBoma Aeterna. There are fine remains adjoin-ing the monastery of S. Francesca. T. VenerisErycinae, was on the Capitoline hill close tothe temple of Mars : these two
