This house was built about 1853 by Aaron S. Bergey. A stone in thecellar \yall of this house on the Berge homestead shows a dare which is presumed to be 1732,tho the first two figures are indistinct. The initials underneath the date are H. V. B., and areundoubtedly .intended to represent Hans Ulrich Berge. .^•^ » £ e.
