A pair of flintlock rifles, Christoph Joseph Frey, Munich circa 1780. Two-stage eight-groove rifled barrels in 16 mm calibre, octagonal then round after a chiselled girdle with brass 'spider' front sights. Each with a lined mark " MYNCHEN" at the breech (Stöckel no. 397). Gold-lined vent holes, the tang numbered "1" respectively "2". Cut flintlocks with laterally swivelling frizzens and signatures "Ios. Frey in Minchen".
