A pair of flintlock rifles, Christoph Joseph Frey, Munich circa 1780. Two-stage eight-groove rifled barrels in 16 mm calibre, octagonal then round after a chiselled girdle with brass 'spider' front sights. Each with a lined mark " MYNCHEN" at the breech (Stöckel no. 397). Gold-lined vent holes, the tang numbered "1" respectively "2". Cut flintlocks with laterally swivelling frizzens and signatures "Ios. Frey in Minchen". Florally carved walnut full stocks with chequered hand rests, wooden trigger guards and smooth brass furnitures. Origin, Additional-Rights-Clearance-Info-Not-Available
