Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan Steinkemp assigned as a diver to the USS Safeguard (ARS 50) stands on a dive platform prior to at-anchor dive operations off the coast of Sasebo, Japan, on Jan. 30, 2007. The Safeguard is conducting dive operations to increase proficiency as the ship approaches bi-lateral training commitments throughout the Western Pacific region.
