Six of his nine yearlings are entered In the Occident Stake to be trotted at the State Fair in JNS9, five of which are owned in uakland, viz.: one by Hon. Ueo. E. Whitney, one hy Ur E. H Pardee, one by Mr. Ed. Newtand, one by Mr. A, W. Pulcifer. and one bv A. I. Greene, and the sixth by Mr. Frank Leighton at Lafayette. Of the eight three-vear-olds two are broken, four partially broken and the other two unbruken. Those which are broken show a great deal of speed for their handling, and all. without a single exception, are of fine size, style and color, and show a fine way of going.
