David and Ruth Greenglass, US Cold War atomic spies. David Greenglass (born 1922) married Ruth Leah Printz (1924-2008) in 1942. David's sister was Ethel Greenglass, who married Julius Rosenberg in 1939. All four were accused and questioned in the 1950s about the passing of atomic secrets to the Soviet Union in the 1940s. Both Ruth and David testified at the trial of the Rosenbergs in exchange for immunity for Ruth. David served ten years in prison for espionage, while the Rosenbergs were convicted and executed in 1953. This photograph was part of the exhibits used in the trial of the Rosenbergs in 1951.
