The Bimont Dam and Sainte-Victoire mountain near Aix-en-Provence, France


The Bimont dam was designed by the Coyne et Bellier design office and built from 1946 to 1951 under the direction of engineer Joseph Rigaud. It is located in the municipality of Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde near Aix-en-Provence in the South of France. It is the starting point of several hiking trails through typical landscapes painted by Paul Cézanne, including the main path leading to the top of the Sainte-Victoire mountain.
