LOUIS, ROCHESTER, N. Y. The Market. Eiu'li day last week tlio wliolcsiile market was practically cleared of flow- ers l)y the early part of the afternoon. Business throughout the city and nearby towns has been good and this steadiness has been noticed each day. There have been a large number of f , which have made a somewhat heavy demand on all stock. Apart from roses, th(> market is de- pleted of greenhouse stock. iStock is not particularly good, but, considering the extreme weather recently, it is as good as we can Flowers are all selling at summer jirices, but there is not the abundance of stock this season that is usual at this l)eriod. Gladioli and asters are the mailistay of the business just now. The former are reaching us in gootl supply, and in many different varieties. Asters are not ovcrplentiful and it is a hard matter to make them go around. Lilies are reaching us in small cjuantities only. There is no special demand for valley just now. Sweet peas can only be quoted as poor. The heat and drought ]>ractically ruined the greater part of them. Hardy gypsophila is in again and moves well. Dried gy])sophila is iilso having .t good run. lltdichrysums !ire arriving in the market and beauti- ful colors are seen. They ajipear to be good. Hardy jdilox is somewhat jilenti- ful and there is a good demand for it. Achillea and feverfew are not particu- larly 2)lentiful, but sell readily. Candy- tuft, larkspur, gaillardias, marigolds and daisies are seen daily, but not in any great quantity. Zinnias sel
