Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske leads the IAC meeting held at CBP headquarters in Washington The Interagency Committee (IAC) on Customs Co-Operation Council Matters is an inter-governmental group, and this meeting was attended by Commissioner-level counterparts across the government. This meeting offered direct high level and policy-focused engagement to ensure consistency of approaches for the Customs Co-Operation Council (or World Customs Organization, WCO). In addition, the meeting reinforced the role of CBP as lead agency to the WCO at the highest level. This meeting is part of CBP’s layered coordination and outreach strategy with other agencies in regards to the WCO. The meeting will took place from 11am-12:30pm.
