. WEDGEWOOD MORTAR. WEDGEWOOD MORTAR. Camphor.— Use.—Camphor is a slight stimulant, fol- lowed by calmative effect. Hence, it is recommended in cases of irritation, and nervous excitement, and enters into all mixtures used in cases of chronic cough. Three to five grains of camphor, and extract of belladonna five grains, rubbed down in a little whisky or alcohol, and mixed in three ounces of water, is an excellent remedy in allaying irritation in dogs having distemper.
