Impressive "Votsaloto" ("pebbles mosaic") in Aghia Triada ("Holy Trinity") church in Adamas, Milos island, Cyclades, Greece

This the Aghia Triada ("Holy Trinity") church in Adamas, Milos. It also functions as a religious and ecclesiastical museum, and it's one of the places you should visit, if you go to Milos. Pay attention to the impressive "Votsaloto" ("pebbles floor") right in front of the entrance of the church. It depicts the "battle between Good and Evil". Adamas (or Adamantas) is the main port of the island. The settlement was established in 1824 by Cretan refuges from Sfakia, who came here hunted by the Turks of Husein Bey and the Egyptians of Mehmet Ali. Today it's one of the main commercial and economical centers of Milos. It also provides the most vibrant nightlife options of the island.
