Adventurer Cyril Derreumaux makes final preparations to his custom-built kayak "Valentine" before his attempted record-setting solo kayaking trip from Sausalito, California to Waikiki, Hawaii. His journey will take 70 days as he paddles more than 2,500 miles (4000 km) across the Pacific Ocean. He departs May 30, 2021 and will arrive in Hawaii in August.
