The church of ALL SAINTS consistsCHURCH of a chancel and nave in one range44 ft. 8 in. long and 14. ft. wide with awooden bell-cot over the west end. The west endand part at least of the side walls are of pre-Conquestdate, with long and short quoins at the westernangles and a pilaster strip on the north wall. Theother architectural features point to a late 12th-century date, and the blocked arch at the east of the. Little Somborne Church : Interior Looking East building, formerly opening to a chancel which is nowdestroyed, suggests that the chancel was of that date. The east window, set in the blocking of the chancelarch, is of three square-headed lights with hollow-chamfered jambs, mullions and head, and is of latedate. The old chancel arch is pointed and wasprobably of two square orders ; the outer has circularjamb-shafts with slender scalloped capitals of a latetype. Above are two lancets very much restored, the head of one being modern ; they were doubtlessoriginally in the chancel. A little to the south of the chancel arch is a small round-headed image nicheprobably of the same date as the arch. In the northwall is a single light of 12 th-century date. The splayis fairly wide, and has a round head, while the outeropening is square-headed and has a well-cut externalrebate ; it seems to be of late 12th-century of this is the north door
