Theplant has an ideal location near the cen-ter of the northern part of the SacramentoValley where the soil is well adapted tothe growing of sugar beets. The harvesting of beets usually beginsabout the middle of August and extendsto almost the first of November. Theplant runs continually from the time itopens until the beets have all been har-.
