This page is from volume 1 of the 1749 edition of 'The Philosophical Transactions and Collections to the End of the Year 1700', an abridged collection of 17th-century papers from the Royal Society of London. The original paper containing these diagrams was by the English mathematician John Pell (1611-1685), and published in 1638 in 'Philosophical Collections'. Pell was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1663.
