The Kentucky Air Guard's 123rd Contingency Response Group established a Joint Task Force-Port Opening aerial port and trucking hub from scratch at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, , on March 25 and 26, 2012. Working in conjunction with Soldiers from the Army's 690th Rapid Port Opening Element, the Kentucky Airmen moved more than 1,060 short tons of simulated cargo in three days.
