Last week, after Ash Wednesday, the market eased considerably, and by Sat- urday there were adequate receipts in almost every line. After the blizzard of the early part of the week the sun came out bright each day. The de- mand, however, is only ordinary, and unless it strengthens greatly to take up the increased supply, there will be a crowded market before long. Killarney and "White Killarney, Kich- mond and Taft have increased greatly in supply on new crops that are coming in and the stock is good. American Beauties are still more or less conspic- uous by their absence. Sweet pea receipts have increased greatly. Jfink ones are the best sellers. The same is true of callas and rubrums. None of the three, however, are in large supply. Bulbous stock is arriving in larger quan- tities than before, but outside of the call for the best, it is enjoying no par- ticular demand. Other offerings include violets, both double and single, valley, orchids, primroses and snapdragons. Outdoor grown daffodils are about due to arrive from southern Illinois. Various Notes.
