March 30, 1904, Milton and Harry R. Holsinger were elected deacons. Janu-ary 16, 1911, Levi K. Ziegler was elected to the RIDGELY CHURCH. 535 On October 22, 1909, the Ridgely Church was divided byan Elder from an adjoining state district. The irregular-ities of this move were called to the attention of DistrictMeeting, and after careful consideration a committee ofthree Elders was appointed to go to Maryland, and investi-gate the case. The Committee met the members of theformer Ridgely Church in joint session, May 3, a long and careful investigation the committee pro-nounced the work illegal, because of the irregularities, butrecognizing the fact that conditions seem to make a divisiondesirable, proceeded in a regular way to divide the Church,the one part retaining the name Ridgely, and the otherbeing called Denton. Each part accepted the decision of thecommittee. The Ridgely Church had about 150 membersbefore the division, and the line of division was so fixed as
