NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (June 2, 2017) Midshipman 3rd Class Nick Gutierrez, from the Naval Academy, right, participates in sonar dome operations under the guidance of Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Cody Stone, from Newnan, Georgia, aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71). Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe and Africa.
