Besides the growth seenon the side of the face, the left eye was a mass of cancerous tissue and X-RAY THERAPY 293 his condition was entirely hopeless. He lived only a short timeafter this visit. Cases of this nature are quite common. Many ofthem are so far advanced that it is impossible to do anythingfor them.
