Hoy como ayer; los enemigos de Juarez, 1942. Broadside shows three cartoons. First depicts Benito Juarez; symbol of democracy; pointing a crowd of Nazis toward the Hill of the Bells (where a firing squad killed Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian; on June 19; 1867). Second is set in a Russian steam bath; where Joseph Stalin is telling Adolf Hitler that his massage is still forthcoming. Third is a commentary on the high price and inferior quality of milk. It refers to the ideals of democracy as espoused and embodied in the memory of Benito Juarez and how these are threatened by Fascist elements.
