The section between the Sanson and the Cucunati is one ofthe mostly tightly compressed and intricately faulted areas betweenLake Nicaragua and the Atrato Eiver, fronted on each side by anadvancing overthrust and broken into a mass of squeeze blocks whichwould be almost impossible to map in detail.
