Poole, an optics technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 453, 4th Marine Logistics Group, performs a test flight with a drone before continuing three dimensional printing production by Reserve Marines at an innovation cell located within their Home Training Center in San Jose, Calif., Feb. 9, 2019. While it is not yet possible to fabricate electrical components like motors, sensors or even batteries, Marines are able to 3D print drone parts such as the frame, landing gear, propellers and biometric fingerprint scanning parts.
