Hopper Making - Hopper, locally known as ‘Appah’ is a popular and common food in Sri Lanka. It is widely eaten as snakes as well as meal through out the day from breakfast to dinner. The thin edge of the bowl shape is crispy and the bottom is soft. Hopper is mainly made of rice flower and coconut milk; some spices are also added for taste. There are two types of hopper one plain Hopper and Egg Hopper. For Egg Hopper egg is spread over during preparation. It is usually taken with red chilli and onion pest. Suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
