Jamaica Inn. Bodmin Moor. Cornwall. Sir Frederick Arthur Montague Browning’s military uniform. He was involved in the planning for the Battle of Arnhem and was married to Daphne du Maurier. Jamaica Inn was made famous by the writer Daphne du Maurier's novel with the same title and made into films and television dramas. That was a story of widespread smuggling in the local area. The inn has a Daphne du Maurier museum attached with a collection of private letters and other artifacts associated with her life. There is also displays of exhibits associated with the smuggling trade. 10th August
