A sabre for a dragoon officer of the Garde Impériale, made for collectors by Romel in the style of the First Empire Lightly curved blade of etched Damascus, with two fullers and a pronounced central ridge on each side. The top half is etched, gilded, and bears remnants of bluing, with "Garde Imperiale" on the obverse side and "Dragons" on the reverse, each between the crowned monogram "N" and an eagle.
