Commemorative plaque devoted to Austrian chess master Wilhelm Steinitz (William Steinitz) on his birthplace in Josefov (Jewish Quarter) in Prague, Czech Republic. Wilhelm Steinitz was the first World Chess Champion from 1886 to 1894. The plaque was unveiled in 2004 on the building of the Faculty of Arts (Filozofická fakulta) of Charles University (Univerzita Karlova) on the place where the house where Wilhelm Steinitz was born once stood.
