Katie Burke who was born with two holes in her heart made medical history when at only 4 lb in weight was the smallest baby to be fitted with a pacemaker when she was only 15 days old. The pacemaker about the size of a two pound coin was fitted at Diana Princess of Wales Childrens Hospital, Birmingham 1999. Katie has since had at least three replacement pacemakers fitted.
