Sukhovo-Kobylin (1817-1903) was the author of a trilogy of satirical plays on corruption in the Russian judicial system, Krechinsky's Wedding, The Trial and Terelkin's Death. Found in the collection of the Institute of Russian Literature IRLI (Pushkin-House).
