Space experiments. Several astronauts performing experiments within the Life and Microgravity Spacelab. Jean-Jacques Favier (at centre) prepares a sample for the Advanced Gradient Heating Facility (AGHF) whilst wearing instruments that monitor upper body movement. This experiment monitors differences in the way that astronauts respond to operating in microgravity. Susan Helms and Thomas Henricks (centre left) assist Favier with the AGHF preparations. Richard Linnehan (bottom right) is testing the strength of his muscle response with a handgrip dynanometer. Photographed aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia during mission STS-78 (20 June-7 July 1996).
