Partial Playmat 12-in-2

12-in-2 is so called because stacks of two rings are attached to six adjacent stacks using two smaller rings each. This is a Work In Progress (or WIP) piece I created that, when completed, will be photographed and printed on playmats. For building material, I coil electric fence wire around a spruill, creating a coil. I cut the coil into individual jump rings. I repeat the process (at the same size) with copper grounding wire. The small rings come from a smaller spruill, wound with smaller gauge annealed wire. Each inch of length requires a time investment of around four hours (I watch television as I work).
