Proboscis fully developed; palpi obliquely upturned, the 2nd joint reaching about to middle of frons and moderately fringed with hair in front, the 3rd short with slight tuft of hair in front; frons smooth with large tuft of hair above; eyes large, round; antenna of male ciliated; thorax clothed almost entirely with scales, the prothorax without crest, the metathorax with spreading crests ; tibie slightly fringed with hair ; abdomen without crests. Fore wing long and narrow, the apex rectangular, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate; vein 3 from before angle of cell; 5 from above angle ; 6 from upper angle; 7, 8, 9 on a long stalk ; 10, 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 on a long stalk ; 5 fully developed from just above angle of cell; 6, 7 from upper angle ; 8 anastomosing with the cell to middle. 6688. Elesma subglauca. Head and tegulae whitish irrorated with fuscous; thorax grey irrorated with black; abdomen whitish. Fore wing grey finely irrorated with black ; the antemedial line black, very oblique from costa to submedian fold, then incurved and angled outwards above inner margin ; orbicular small, round, defined by black ; black- edged lunules on median and subcostal nervures before end of cell.
