If an upjier tooth, place a roll of softbibulous paper, or a cotton-A^ool roll, under thelip or cheek, to hold these jmrts away from thesite of operation. If a lower, place aroll, li ins. long, on each side of theroot, to keep both tongue and cheekor lip a\\ay.
