Sunburst seen from the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Sunbursts are seen when an orbiting spacecraft emerges into the sunlight from the shadow of the Earth (bottom). The tail fin and empty cargo bay of Atlantis are seen in the upper frame. The bay is empty as Atlantis's cargo (the Destiny laboratory module) was earlier installed on the International Space Station. Photographed during mission STS-98 (7th-20th February 2001).
