The steam for thepumps is supplied by a J^-in. pipe in which is a steam piping on the table and the legs and pipes underneath plying the engine with oil is shut off. All the engine oil on anengine is controlled by one valve and all the cylinder od by anothervalve, so that it is not necessary to open and set or close cups orlubricators each time an engine is started or stopped.
