Moon rock sample. Sample of lunar rock collected by Apollo 17 astronauts from the Taurus-Littrow region of the Moon. This is a sample of brecciated dunite clast, a type of igneous rock. Apollo 17 landed on the Moon on 11th December 1972. It was the last Apollo mission. Photographed at the Lunar Receiving Laboratory, Houston, Texas, USA.
