A Venetian officer's sword with a dragon head pommel, 16th century Older Gothic blade from the 14th/15th century used to make this later sword. A shallow fuller on both sides of the upper third of the blade, and a cross within a circle with remnants of brass inlays on the obverse side. Moorish style bronze grip. Quillons have a pronounced bend toward the blade. The finials shaped as dragonheads. One quillon end damaged. Two piece cast grip with vine decoration in relief. Pommel shaped like a dragonhead.
