As a decorative plant for the house this is one of the handsomest and most serviceable. It has deep green, feathery foliage, arranged in whorls, rising one above the other at regular distances; its sym- metry of form, grace and beauty of foliage are unequaled in the vege- table kingdom. It is easily grown in the house and is highly orna- mental. Our importation of these this year was exceptionally large and fine selected stock, especially in the medium size, for which there is always a demand. Price, nice plants, 12 to 15 inches high, 3 tiers, $ each; larger plants, 18 to 20 inches high, 4 and 5 tiers, $ each. ACALYPHA SANDERII. The Chenille or Comet Plant. (See illustration.) Leaves are dark green, from the axil of each of which springs a long, drooping spike of glowing crimson-scarlet flowers, nearly an inch in diameter and from eighteen to twenty-four inches long, very velvety in texture, reminding one of a long piece of brilliant chenille. An exceedingly curious and interesting novelty; unlike any other decorative plant. The accompanying illustration gives a better idea of the formation of this plant than any description that we can give. This plant is never out of bloom. It is bound to have a large sale on account of its oddity and rarity. Price, 15 cents each. ARAUCARIA EXCELSA. AMARYLLIS J0HNS0NII. One of the most gorgeous bulbous plants grown. We have seen specimens of a few years' growth that com- pletely filled a window. Nothing is more showy than this grand plant during late Winter or early Spring, bearing large flowers of intense crimson with a delicate white feather in each petal. It is most superb. Price, 30 cts. each. Beautiful Plant for Center of Vases, or House Decoration. Antherieum Vitatum Folia Variegata. A beau- tiful plant, with recurved, gracef
