Close-up of a wild sage flower, Lantana camara.
This beautiful flower was originally found in the tropical regions of South America. Today it can be found in Asia, Europa and parts of Oceania, where it is an invasive species introduced by humans. The coloration of the assemblage of little flowers can vary from dark pink, orange, yellow and white. The color changes after pollination, generally from yellow to dark pink or orange. The berries of Lantana are poisonous for humans, but birds and other animals feed on them and can spread the seeds over a wide range.
