Mrs. Taking Salmon from Traps on the Fraser River, A New Brunswick Moose Hunt THE Doctor, Charlie and Jack gotto the woods on the day appointed,but as usual a hundred thingskept n:e a\va_\- for nearly aweek- \\e had decided to go wellup the Miramichi River, hire a cook andone guide for the party. In this way wethought we would have all the freedomand fun of a private picnic and be savedall the worry and anxiety both in the campand in the woods. Whatever kind of grub we get, theDoctor used to sing out every time he metone of us; we will have pure air and clearsparkling spring water. He was sick ofthe highly coloured and highly flavoredcity water and had waged a great fight fora pure supply. So our catch word and sal-utation for weeks was Pure I do believe we caught theDoctors enthusiasm and fairly gloatedover the delights of pure spring water andfancied ourselves getting fat on that oneluxury alone.
