It forms a compact bush 18 inches high, with leaves 6 to 9 inches long, 3 or 4 inches wide, and of the most intense metallic purple color, shading into light rose with a light green margin, a combination unapproached by any other plant. The flowers are a lovely violet-blue, very beautiful, of a Gloxinia-like appearance. For a bedding plant it has few equals. In an exposed position its foliage colors highly, and is superbly ornamental. Creates a sensation wherever seen. 25c. each; 3 for 60c; 12 for $ Abiitiloi), S°*iV. dc Bowe. The most beautiful in foliage of all Abutilons. Each leaf has a broad distinct margin of pure white, making a most conspicuous plant. The long stemmed flowers are of golden yellow color veined with scarlet.
