NEW DWARF WHITE QUEEN ASTER. {Accurately drawn frotn nature, at our seed grounds.) NEW LARGE FLOWERING, —DWARF QUEEN ASTER. Introduced by us last year, this magnifi- cent new Aster was poorly represented by the engraving; the new illustration we now give was drawn from nature at our seed grounds, and accurately represents the beau- tiful habit of growth. Both in 1887 and t888 our trials of Asters numbered nearly two hundred varieties, and all visitors remarked the distinct character of these new Queen Asters, the White Queen being pronounced the finest white Aster ever seen. The dwarf, bushy plants grow only ten to twelve inches high, and while branching ver>- freely, the branches are upright (not loose in habit), make a dense, compact bush —excellent for pot culture as well as for bedding. For many purposes, and particu- larly for culture in pets, we consider the habit of growth is more desirable than any variety heretofore introduced. The flowers are of extraordinary size., perfectly double, and resemble the finest Victoria Asters in form. On a single plant we counted forty flowers and large buds, while many small buds were appearing. As yet, there have been only two colors of this strain produced by the originator in Germany. White Queen, spotless white. Per pkt. 15 cts. Crimson Queen, rosy crimson. Per pkt. 15 cts. One pkt. of each color Neiv Queen Asters for 2J cts. NEW ASTER, PRINCE OF WALES. In our trials the past season, of one hundred and eighty- three varieties and samples of Asters; this new variety proved entirely distinct. When in flower the plants are about fifteen inches in height, branching freely in all direc- tions, the large flowers bending the stems over with their weight, giving the plants a graceful, open and pendulous appearance. The flowers are of a deep crimson red colo
