Easdale was Scotland's smallest permanently-inhabited inner Hebridean island with a permanent population of around 60 people in 2019. The island was car free and accessible from the neighbouring island of Seil by a passenger ferry. It was the location of the annual World Stone Skimming Championships which was held every September in one of the flooded former quarries on the island.
