Colorful paper fish or carp lanterns or windsocks, called koinobori, blow in the wind; the Japanese celebrate Children's Day or Boy's Day with these windsocks. This display was hung near the Tokyo Tower, high above visitors, in early April. The Festival is celebrated on May 5th to honor children.
