Upon the same pastures, and from thesame cattle, we have known an increase of asmuch as over 2 lb. of butter per head over alarge herd to take place in the month of Junofrom one week to another. The only questionthat could possibly account for this great differ-ence being the weather. After rain the cattlerest quieter, flies are less troublesome, and agreater amount of succulent grass springs in the sheds and yards, and succulent feed,must be factors in this increase.
