WASHINGTON (June 5, 2018) Musician 1st Class Brittany Foster, piccolo instrumentalist with the Navy Ceremonial band performs at the Navy Memorial in Washington, , during the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the Battle of Midway. The Battle of Midway began on June 4 in 1942 and stands as one of the Navy's most historically significant naval battles. Fought on the high seas of the Pacific more than half a century ago, this battle altered the course of the war in the Pacific and thereby shaped the outcome of world events.
